PROFESSIONALLY IMPORTANT QUALITIES OF THE PERSONALITY OF A MODERN ENGINEER

Tatyanenko Svetlana Alexandrovna

candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor, branch of Tsogu State University in Tobolsk, Tobolsk

The specificity and psychological characteristics of engineering activity require a person to have certain personality traits, special abilities. In the process of mastering and performing activities, psychological qualities are gradually professionalized, forming an independent substructure.

V.D. Shadrikov under professionally important qualities understands the individual qualities of the subject of activity, influencing the effectiveness of the activity and the success of its development. He also refers to professionally important qualities as abilities. Thus, professionally important qualities are the psychological qualities of a person that determine the productivity (productivity, quality, effectiveness, etc.) of an activity. They are multifunctional and at the same time each profession has its own ensemble of these qualities.

The study of the structure of special technical abilities, "engineering intelligence", abilities for certain types of activities (for example, design), professionally significant personal qualities engineering and technical workers are devoted to a large number of scientific studies.

The attention of many researchers (A.G. Asmolov, V.G. Gorchakova, S.A. Druzhilov, A.K. Markova, etc.) was attracted by the question of the initial psychological prerequisites for the formation and development of professionalism(including future engineer) . V.G. Gorchakova identified the following prerequisites: 1) formed motivation achievements, based on the experience of socially reinforced success; 2) developed volitional component psyche, providing the ability to overcome both their own internal contradictions and socially conditioned obstacles to achieving goals; 3) stress tolerance; 4) availability self-actualizing trend in the structure of personality; 5) creativity as the ability to create in a situation of uncertainty and lack of resources.

In the fundamental works of L.I. Bozhovich, V.S. Merlina, K.K. Platonov it is shown that the system-forming factor of personality is orientation. Orientation is characterized by a system of dominant needs and motives. Some authors also include attitudes, value orientations and attitudes in the composition of the orientation. Theoretical analysis made it possible to identify components of a professional orientation: motives(intentions, interests, inclinations, ideals), value orientations(meaning of work, wages, wealth, qualifications, career, social status and etc.), professional position(attitude towards the profession, attitudes, expectations and readiness for professional development), socio-professional status. At different stages of formation, these components have different psychological content, due to the nature of the leading activity and the level of professional development of the individual.

There are also external and internal conditions for the formation of the personality of a professional. To internal conditions include: individual typological properties, temperament, constitution, basic intelligence, a set of potential inclinations and inclinations (V.G. Gorchakova); the presence of systemic qualities corresponding to the possibility of professional growth and development, individual resource capacity of a person, compliance with the object of management, dynamism, that is, the ability to timely take into account and anticipate changes in the area of responsibility of a person (A.K. Markova). External conditions: the presence of a non-trivial situation of development and contacts with bright personalities as objects of imitation, the optimal variety of incentives in the social environment, the ability to satisfy the need for self-actualization, self-improvement and self-respect, the presence of obstacles that strengthen the personality in the process of overcoming them, the presence life difficulties as ways to enhance the creative adaptation of the individual and activate its spiritual potential, the presence of frustrating situations as ways to activate personal growth (V.G. Gorchakova).

In the course of the development of activities, the development professionally significantpsychophysiological properties of personality. In the process of professionalization, some psychophysiological properties determine the development of a professional important qualities others, becoming professional, acquire an independent meaning. This substructure includes such qualities as visual-motor coordination, eye, neuroticism, extraversion, reactivity, energyism, etc.

In the studies of V.D. Shadrikov and his students it is shown that in the process of professionalization of personality integrative ensembles (sympto-complexes) of qualities are formed. The component composition of professionally conditioned ensembles is constantly changing, and correlations are intensifying. However, for each profession there are relatively stable ensembles professional characteristics. In foreign professional pedagogy, they are elevated to the rank key qualifications. The theoretical substantiation of this group of professionally important qualities was made by D. Martens on the basis of taking into account the interconnection and interdependence of socio-economic and technical-economic production processes and the trend of their use in the production, management and service sector of various kinds of computer technologies. Key qualifications include abstract theoretical thinking; ability to plan complex technological processes; creativity, predictive abilities, ability to make independent decisions; communication skills; the ability to work together and cooperate, reliability, efficiency, responsibility, etc.

The modern development of science places demands on creative component workers in most professions. Polyvariability professional functions engineering involves the formation of creative skills as elements of creative abilities. According to L.S. Vygotsky's creativity is not only the lot of geniuses. There is creativity in our everyday life. necessary condition existence, and everything that goes beyond the routine and contains at least an iota of new, owes its origin to the creative process of man.

Based on a study of more than 2,000 biographies of creative individuals, psychologists have compiled the following list qualities of a creative personality.

1. The ability to boldly choose a worthy goal (even if it is considered unrealistic) and make it the main goal in your life.

2. The ability to see problems, the solution of which is necessary and sufficient to achieve the goal.

3. The ability to work systematically, the availability of work plans for the month, for the year. Regular monitoring of the implementation of these plans.

4. High performance.

5. Good technique for the creative tasks involved in the problem.

6. Ability under all circumstances to defend their ideas.

IN AND. Andreev identified the following groups elements of creativity :

motivational and creative activity and orientation of the personality;

intellectual and logical abilities of the individual;

· worldview qualities that contribute to the success of educational and creative activities;

ability to self-manage;

communication and creative abilities;

individual abilities of the individual, contributing to the success of educational and creative activities;

· moral qualities;

aesthetic qualities.

Thus, from our point of view, in a broad sense, a modern engineer is characterized by a whole set of the following qualities.

1) Physiological

health: the work of auditory, visual, tactile and other analyzers, compliance with the norms of physical development of a given age;

Emotional-volitional readiness: overcoming difficulties caused by the uncertainty of the situation (lack of time, information), choosing a hypothesis, taking on one or another responsibility, the ability to self-manage emotions, behavior and attitudes towards others.

2) Psychological

voluntary and post-voluntary attention (volume, stability, distribution, concentration, switching);

Perception (size, distance, form, speech, image, movement, space, time), its meaningfulness, generalization, integrity, volume; constancy, coding of perceived information;

arbitrary and long-term, verbal-logical and figurative memory (types, volume, strength, accuracy, organization, memorization techniques);

representation and imagination (brightness, clarity, stability, productivity);

technical, operational, systems thinking; mental operations (analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization, abstraction, concretization, systematization); forms of logical thinking (concepts, judgments, conclusions),

Ability to be creative, ability to make decisions.

3) Social

attitude to work and style of activity: attentiveness, diligence, discipline, accuracy, efficiency, organization, independence, efficiency, initiative, courage, determination, activity, resourcefulness, energy;

attitude towards people and towards oneself: collectivism, good breeding, tact, ability to understand others, respect for people, readiness to take into account the opinions of others, self-criticism, exactingness towards oneself, professional suitability, the desire and ability to constantly enrich their knowledge, worldview.

· culture: interiorization cultural property humanity, culture of work, culture of communication;

4) Moral-motivational-targeted

Personal orientation: needs, motives, interests, aspirations, ideals, etc.;

attitude towards the environment, work.

The identification of professionally important qualities of an engineer's personality is necessary because it allows building a competence model of a specialist, revealing the features of engineering activity that are important for understanding the specifics of preparing for it.
