Venator-class Star Destroyer
The Venator-class Star Destroyer was an Old Republic aircraft-carrying battlecruiser invented during the Clone Wars, one of the most efficient ships of its time.
Despite millennia of peace, with the onset of the Clone Wars, the Galactic Republic was able to transform itself surprisingly quickly into a gigantic war machine. The republic, immediately after the start of the war, began the rapid development of the fleet, not rejecting even the most unrealistic projects proposed.
The Venator Star Destroyer, unlike most of the Republic and Separatist warships, was not converted into a military vessel from a civilian one. "Venator" was originally created as a warship for conducting space combat and confronting similar large enemy ships. It was not a universal ship, such as the "Victory" and the future "Emperors". The overall design concepts of the ship are largely based on the Star Destroyer design of the Approving Star Destroyer. The Venators became one of the most common ships during the Clone Wars. Pobeda II-class Star Destroyer
The Victory II-class Star Destroyer was a modified Victory Star Destroyer used by the Galactic Empire in the period following the end of the Clone Wars.
After the end of the Clone Wars, a new ship was released - "Victory II". The designers of the original "Victory" were forced to do this by the insufficient speed of the "Victory" in space combat conditions. The weapons of the first "Victory" also did not meet the requirements of the Empire.
The new Star Destroyer Pobeda II was significantly faster than its predecessor. This was achieved the hard way: in order to increase the speed, the power of the force shield was significantly reduced. The armament of the ship has undergone major changes. The Emperor III Star Destroyer is a modified Emperor II Star Destroyer that the Empire began using after the formation of the New Republic. A ship of this type has great advantages over its predecessors.
After the Battle of Endor, with the ever-increasing military power of the New Republic, the Empire still had huge military resources, but over time, there were fewer and fewer qualified personnel. Executioner-class Star Destroyer (Executor)
The Executor-class Star Destroyer is the first ship in the Super Star Destroyer series. The first ship in the series was Darth Vader's flagship and became associated in the eyes of many in the galaxy with Palpatine's Empire.
Engineer Lyra Wessex, who once designed the Venator cruiser and the Imperator-class Star Destroyer, came up with a design for a ship that made every other ship in the galaxy look like dwarfs.
The emperor was interested in the project and allowed the construction of four ships of this type to begin simultaneously at the shipyards of Fondor and Kuat. The Senate tried to protest against the emperor's decision, but Palpatine was able to convince them. Eclipse-class Star Destroyer
The Eclipse-class Star Destroyer is the most powerful and efficient Star Destroyer in the galaxy. It was built by the Empire in the aftermath of the Battle of Endor. In total, two such ships were built, each of which was able to destroy the enemy's medium fleet.
The construction of the first ship of this type was begun in the shipyards of Kuat before the Battle of Endor. After the beginning of the collapse of the Empire into small state formations, construction was stopped for a while, but then resumed again. Four and a half standard years after the Battle of Endor, both ships left Kuat and stood guard over the planet Byss, where Emperor Palpatine's clones were bred.
